Robert “Pushup” Frazier, 30 years old, 154 pounds and a former IBC jr middleweight champion returned home after a nine month layoff on May 21, 2004, Boxing At The ROC II. Frazier won a unanimous decision over Carlton Holland of Durham, N.C., in the main event, an eight round bout. Both fighters landed heavy bombs for the full eight rounds and both lost a little blood. The scores were unanimous for Frazier at 79-73, 80-72 and 77-75. “I’m gonna be a champion this year, that’s the bottom line,” said Frazier.

Frazier (30-5-2, 15 KO) is 7-0 since losing to the current IBF,WBA and WBC light middleweight champion Ronald “Winky” Wright by decision in October 2001. Wright defeated Shane Mosley for the unified belt on March 31, 2003.

Frazier who has been trained his entire career by Robert Johnson has boxed three times in 2003 including a victory over a former IBF junior welterweight. He is currently ranked in the top 20 in the world. “This is my year. I’m planning on capturing one of those belts. It’s Mr. Frazier’s time to shine. I’ve never been one to hype himself, but sometimes in this sport you have to make a statement and I’m making my statement this year.”
